A Travel Planner for Discovery
Grant County is home to dramatic geological landscapes, miles of outdoor recreation and communities connected by a shared spirit of exploration. With a refreshed tourism brand and newly launched visitor app already elevating the visitor experience, the county saw an opportunity to create a travel planner that could bring the story to life in print — inspiring travelers to linger longer, look deeper and plan their next adventure.
GUIDING THOUGHT
Remarkable destinations deserve more than a list of attractions. The best visitor guides help people understand a place before they arrive. Our approach focused on translating Grant County’s scale, story and sense of wonder into a cohesive print experience that worked seamlessly alongside the destination’s digital tools. Every page needed to inspire exploration while making trip planning easier.
Turning Curiosity into Itineraries
We created a 40-page Travel Planner that feels as expansive as the landscape itself. Organized around themes like On the Water, Land Adventures, Farm + Flavor, Sound + Stone and Weekend Getaways, the planner helps visitors discover Grant County through experiences rather than city limits.
Large-format photography gives the destination room to breathe, while authentic storytelling highlights everything from concerts at The Gorge and dark-sky Milky Way viewing to hidden fishing spots and farm-to-fork adventures. Three-day itineraries encourage longer stays and custom maps, including a feature called Rugged Beauty Shaped by Floods, help travelers understand the dramatic forces that shaped the region. QR codes seamlessly connect readers to the destination’s visitor app, creating cohesion across print and digital.
Bringing the Pieces Together
We audited what existed, studied the app’s visual language, and built a visual identity that connected it all. Refreshed typography, a modernized layout and thoughtfully selected imagery brought new energy to the piece without losing Grant County’s character.
The editorial strategy was equally intentional. Content was layered to serve each community in the county distinctly, ensuring visitors could easily navigate between the diverse experiences. No area was an afterthought. From itineraries and maps to local highlights and trip-planning tips, the travel planner helped reveal the depth of Grant County.
