We’re JayRay — a woman-owned creative agency based in Tacoma, Washington. We’ve been thinking differently (and boldly) since disco balls were considered cutting edge tech.

From our roots in the Puget Sound to our clients across the West Coast and beyond, we help organizations tell stories with clarity, heart and just the right amount of pop.

Working across industries keeps us curious. It pushes our ideas further and keeps our clients out of the copy-paste zone. Over time, it’s made us sharper, braver and better listeners.

Our story starts with local roots. Back in 1970, a few folks in Tacoma had a vision: do good work, with good people, for good reasons. That’s still our north star.

We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We’re a boutique team on purpose — nimble, approachable and personal (remembering your pets’ names included). Around here, your project isn’t just on the board, it’s in our hearts (and on sticky notes, desktops and maybe even our dreams).

The Red Chair? That’s our symbol. A place to pause, ask questions and look at the world from new angles. We believe that’s where the best ideas begin.

And behind the scenes? We’re artists, musicians, parents, advocates, makers, doers — bringing our whole selves to the table, every time.
