Turning Pages Into Trips: A Look Inside Three 2026 Visitor Guides

September 18, 2026

From sun-ripened dates to seafood straight from the source, perching at the edge of an ancient canyon to seeing a familiar beach through a dog’s-eye view, we love helping destinations find the stories only they can tell.

Read on for an insider’s look at three visitor guides we brought to life this year.

Visit Yuma

Sometimes the best guide isn’t bigger — it’s smarter.

This year, Visit Yuma took a fresh approach to its visitor publications. Rather than producing a traditional annual visitor guide, we helped reimagine the entire print strategy. The flagship Visitor Guide will now become a coffee-table-worthy publication refreshed every two years, giving more room for timeless storytelling, striking photography and the kind of inspiration that convinces someone to put Yuma on their travel list.

In its place for 2026, we introduced two new companions: the Yuma Dining Guide and Yuma Go Guide.

Designed for visitors who have already arrived, these pieces answer a different question. Instead of Why should I visit?, they focus on What should I do next? Where’s the best local taco? Which trails showcase desert wildflowers? Where can I rent a kayak, explore the Colorado River or find family-friendly fun? Detailed maps, local recommendations and easy-to-navigate layouts help visitors spend less time searching and more time exploring.

The result is a publication strategy that works harder. The inspirational Visitor Guide has a longer shelf life and stronger return on investment, while the annually refreshed Dining Guide keeps pace with Yuma’s ever-growing culinary scene, and the multi-year Go Guide ensures visitors have practical resources in hand once they check in.

Now, as we begin dreaming up the 2027–28 Visitor Guide, we’re excited to lean even further into what print does best: tell unforgettable stories, spark curiosity and earn a permanent spot near the sofa long after the trip is over.

Grant County Tourism

Grant County is a landscape carved by Ice Age floods. Ancient coulees, canyons and rivers thread through country older than memory, yet the assignment was decidedly modern: Grant County had a fresh brand and a newly minted visitor app, and the visitor guide needed to keep up without duplicating work.

Taking cues from the new visual language, we brought in a modernized layout, cleaner typography, maps and imagery that capture the county’s natural beauty, culture of outdoor adventure and rural delights — all designed to walk hand in hand with their digital strategy. Content was organized to serve the distinct personalities of the cities within the county, so the sprawling destination would read as approachable and easy to navigate. At every turn, the piece directs visitors back to the app, so the inspiration on the page becomes trip planning in a visitor’s pocket.

As Grant County keeps expanding its brand, we’re excited to keep building on it. Work on the 2027 refresh is already ramping up, with more corners of the county to explore and plenty more stories to tell. Each edition proves that words on a page and listings on an app don’t have to compete for a visitor’s attention. Done right, they finish each other’s sentences.

Visit Gig Harbor 2026 Visitor & Relocation Guide cover and inside spread

Visit Gig Harbor

Of all the travel guides we’ve created, the annual Visit Gig Harbor Visitor & Relocation Guide is unique. The publication serves two distinct yet overlapping audiences: not only visitors, but potential residents and new business owners. Luckily, what makes somewhere a great place to live makes it a great place to visit. Every relocator started as a visitor. And every new beginning started with a visit that stuck.

We focused on what makes Gig Harbor easy to visit and hard to leave: a romantic Venetian-style gondola glide across the harbor, a compelling tour through a century-old vessel at the Harbor History Museum and the unparalleled feeling of driving over the iconic cable bridge (coined “the Narrows exhale”). The result? A piece that invites the reader to wander with wonder and linger a little longer — or forever.

With 2026 mostly behind us, we’re diving into the 2027 guide: dreaming big, planning for growth and refreshing our perspective on this beautiful harbor town.

What makes an exceptional visitor guide?

  1. Match the piece to the moment. Someone dreaming up a trip and someone already on the ground need different things. The best guides know which one they’re talking to.
  2. Make print and digital teammates. The page inspires and the screen follows through, each doing what it does best without repeating the other.
  3. Lead with feeling. Facts inform, but a feeling is what sticks. The best guides make readers picture themselves there, whether for a weekend or for good.

Every destination has a story only it can tell, and the right guide in the right hands at the right moment turns that story into a trip. If you’re ready to give your destination the buzz it deserves, we’re ready to dive in. Reach out and see what we’ll discover together.
