JayRay earned three 2020 Communicator Awards and a Telly Award for South Sound clients.
Communicator Awards Winners
TAPCO Credit Union’s podcast series “South Sound Money Talks” explored members’ common questions and confusing financial topics. Episodes include “Conversations Every Couple Should Have About Money” and “Help Children Learn the Value of Savings,” featuring a young TAPCO member. The series won an Award of Distinction.
KNKX, a Puget Sound public radio station, moved into its new Tacoma studio and community space with a day-long celebration. Award-winning event promotions included billboards, print ads, postcards and more featuring an octopus, whale and other Pacific NW animals—all illustrated in-house. The work was honored with an Award of Distinction.
JayRay’s 2019 agency holiday card featured fantastical creatures made out of candy canes to celebrate Candy Cane Day. It was released as a peppermint-scented book and series of animated GIFs. The card was recognized with an Award of Excellence.
The Communicator Awards are presented by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts. In its 26th year, the awards program received over 6,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world.
Telly Awards Winner
Paper cutouts and a stop-motion video delivered the Port of Tacoma’s holiday greetings and is a 2020 Telly Awards winner.
JayRay developed the memorable approach and incorporated the Port’s strategic themes. Shipping containers, trucks, Tacoma landmarks and the Port’s new crane starred in the video.
The Telly Awards showcases the best video work created for all screens. Over 12,000 entries are submitted from five continents. JayRay has won 10 Telly Awards since 2009.
