Senior Advisor and Principal Bridget Baeth joined the Board of Directors for the Washington Tourism Alliance (WTA), the statewide destination marketing organization. Baeth brings more than a decade of tourism experience, having been the force behind marketing and communications at Travel Tacoma + Pierce County. At JayRay, Baeth partners with a variety of tourism destinations, making this a well-suited volunteer position. On the WTA board she will represent the South Puget Sound region including Pierce, Thurston and Kitsap Counties.
“Tourism plays an important role in Washington’s economy, and I look forward to promoting travel in the evergreen state,” Baeth said. She joins at an integral time as WTA up until last year had been the only state DMO without state funding. Now with funds, although limited, the future looks brighter. And a statewide tourism rebrand is on the horizon.
