Public education is the theme of two current JayRay strategic communication and marketing efforts targeting statewide audiences.
About 3,000 miles of Washington’s saltwater coastline (from Grays Harbor through Puget Sound and north to the Canadian border) have been designated as the Maritime Washington National Heritage Area by Congress. JayRay is designing and developing a new website for the heritage area that will help spread awareness of the designation, share heritage stories, and promote tourism.
The website builds on JayRay’s work with maritime and heritage partners to create the Maritime Washington brand last year.
In another public awareness effort, JayRay is partnering with Washington Auto Theft Prevention Authority (WATPA) to support in the prevention of statewide auto thefts.
More than 39,600 vehicles had been stolen in Washington in the first 10 months of 2022 — an 88% increase over 2021. WATPA’s role with this grant-funded project is prevention — including a public awareness campaign.
The statewide campaign will launch this spring.
