In a “super-competitive” process, JayRay principal Kacie Leacy earned a place among the 40 Under 40 honored by South Sound Business Magazine in its June 2020 edition.
“This year is the hardest judging I’ve ever done,” said Joanna Kresge, assistant editor for the magazine.
Leacy started as a JayRay intern and became a principal and senior advisor in August 2016. She advises clients ranging from nonprofits to financial services providers to government agencies. Leacy is a creative and brand strategist who produces integrated campaigns in addition to her leadership role.
Always passionate about the South Sound and local business, Leacy led the “Live Like the Mountain is Out” campaign. She also spearheaded JayRay’s recent CHAIRity auction benefitting the local COVID-19 emergency response.
Leacy recently marked her 10th JayRay anniversary. She serves as a board member of American Marketing Association Puget Sound (AMAPS) and co-founded the group’s South Sound chapter.
Community service is an element of the 40 Under 40 program. Leacy has volunteered her communication skills for the Green River Coalition, the Washington Journalism Education Association, and Rooted, a South Sound organization that supports young adults on the autism spectrum.
Away from work, Leacy is a jewelry maker and nature photographer who can’t wait for live music events to return.
