JayRay is a 55-year-old creative marketing and strategic communications agency rooted in Tacoma, Washington. We work at the intersection of strategy, storytelling and design — partnering with organizations across tourism, business, government, education, nonprofit and healthcare sectors.
Every day looks a little different. One day, you might be pitching a national travel writer, planning an influencer itinerary, interviewing a CEO, drafting social content or helping land a new client with a killer presentation.
THE ROLE
This is a hybrid position with a requirement to attend one in-person team meeting every Tuesday at our downtown Tacoma office.
We’re looking for a Communications Advisor who can tell a great story, build strong relationships and confidently represent both clients and JayRay.
You’re equal parts communicator, strategist and project manager. This role blends public relations, content strategy, social media, influencer relations and business development. You’ll help clients earn media coverage, build community awareness, strengthen their brands and reach new audiences.
You’ll also play an important role in JayRay’s growth by helping develop proposals, support presentations and cultivate relationships throughout the South Sound and beyond. You’ll be equally comfortable behind a keyboard, across a conference table or in front of a room. Whether presenting to a client board, facilitating a workshop, hosting a media tour or helping pitch new business, you’re not afraid of the microphone and know how to engage an audience.
If you’re energized by a fast-paced environment where no two days look alike, we’d love to meet you.
