New Partnership Supports Longer Stays in Federal Way

The City of Federal Way is riding the wave of upcoming opportunities and has selected JayRay as a marketing partner to support its Visit Federal Way tourism efforts and economic development.

The strategic and comprehensive approach includes media relations, digital advertising, website content and tourism program management. We will support the City’s overall goal to reestablish Federal Way as a travel destination — a place to stay longer and explore more.

New light rail service and high-profile athletic events will bring more visitors to Federal Way in the coming years. The marketing and outreach efforts will inspire these visitors to check out more of the city’s attractions and culture. This promotional work is funded through lodging tax dollars, paid by visitors.

We’re excited to immerse ourselves in the Federal Way community and meet with tourism businesses for insights that will guide the marketing strategy.

Throughout the partnership, we will use geolocation visitation data and website analytics to monitor results and refine the approach as needed.

Federal Way currently has about 1.25 million visitors annually. The top-visited attractions include Wild Waves theme park, Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center, the Performing Arts & Event Center, the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden and Pacific Bonsai Museum.
