The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) launched the 2020 update of its Forest Action Plan today, Oct. 26.
The DNR’s Forest Action Plan, a comprehensive document first published in 2010 and updated in 2017 and 2020, describes proactive solutions to conserve and protect trees and forests statewide.
When beginning the 2020 update, the DNR turned to JayRay to create a custom-illustrated forest resiliency infographic that was complex and informative, yet easily digestible.
The illustration highlights the major aspects of a healthy landscape. JayRay worked closely with the DNR to ensure that each element, including all flora and fauna, accurately represents Eastern Washington.
In order to serve a variety of needs beyond the Forest Action Plan, the illustration works both with and without text callouts, and can be viewed as a whole or cropped to a specific feature.
