Senior Art Director Julia White was named to South Sound Business 40 Under 40 for her creative leadership and impact. A Tacoma native and multidisciplinary storyteller, she brings a distinctive perspective to every project she touches.
Since joining JayRay as a graphic designer in 2018, Julia has led branding, advertising and web design efforts for clients including the City of Tacoma, Visit Gig Harbor, Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission, Maritime Washington National Heritage Area and Explore Wilsonville. She leads the agency’s inclusive design and accessibility initiatives and chairs its AI Committee.
Julia attended Tacoma School of the Arts and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Design from Western Washington University, with minors in User Experience Design and Dance. She credits her multidisciplinary background with allowing her to approach design from a unique perspective.
Julia flexes her creative muscles outside of the office as well through illustration, resin work and baking — and can often be found onstage at a local karaoke bar.
